The Gift of Saraswati
The Saraswatī was a mighty river, fed by Himalayan glaciers, who flowed down through the Indus Valley. It is said that these were the waters that gave fertile life to the largest and oldest urban civilisation in the world. The Rig veda, an ancient sacred text, tells of the written word, being birthed on the banks of Saraswatī.
At some point far beyond living memory, the river disappeared. But it is said that she returned to her formless beginning as Saraswatī, the Goddess who is a luminous force of inspiration; a threshold keeper for all those with a longing to learn and create.
Call upon her and Saraswatī will open the way to sing, intuit, speak and think into being, the wisdom that is beyond stale ideas and stuck positions. She has the key to true learning, to liberated expression. With language, poetry and song, she weaves the threads of universal matter into rich tapestries of knowledge, meaning and music.
She brings the inner vision of consciousness into created world reality.
This track is for her.
Words of Appreciation for ‘Saraswati’ Song
“Eliza's voice is breathtaking and I feel her devotion through this song. I often listen to Saraswati and Blessings on repeat when I’m working at my computer. It somehow soothes my nervous system and allows me to relax when my mind is in concentration mode.”
